Boost the performance of your PC Gamer with a selection of latest generation processors from Smartmarket.ma , including Core i5 and Core i7 series for socket Intel motherboards , and Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors for socket AMD motherboards . Real brain of the computer, the microprocessor or CPU (Central Processing Unit) plays an important role in the speed of execution of the PC.
Do you want to build a stationary gaming PC or just upgrade your current computer? According to its socket classification, the proposed processor contains all the information and main technical characteristics of the chipset, including the number of cores, frequency in GHz, cache and consumption. Paired with a GeForce RTX or Radeon RX graphics card , the mid/high-end PC processor will let you enjoy the best gaming experience in HIGH and ULTRA modes, or create high-quality video content without hesitation.
What is the processor for?
A processor is a logic circuit that processes basic instructions to operate a computer. The four main functions of the processor are fetch, decode, execute, and write back. Smartmarket.ma offers you a wide choice of processors adapted to your configuration according to your use, office automation, gaming or multimedia.
What are the basic elements of a processor?
- ALU: Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU) performs arithmetic and logic operations on the current operand.
- FPU: A floating point unit (FPU), also known as a math coprocessor or numeric coprocessor, is a specialized coprocessor that processes numbers faster than basic microprocessor circuits.
- Registers: They contain instructions and data. The registers supply operands to the ALU and store the results of operations.
- Cache memory: L1, L2, L3, their inclusion in the CPU saves time compared to accessing data from RAM (i.e. the PC's random access memory).
- Multi-core: All current processors are multi-core, which means that ICs contain multiple processors for increased performance, lower power consumption, and simultaneous processing of multiple tasks (parallel processing). Multi-core is equivalent to having several independent processors installed on the same computer. Since the processors are directly connected to each other, the connection between them is very fast.
What are the brands of processors?
The two main manufacturers in the processor market are Intel and AMD. Each manufacturer offers its socket format, the location on the motherboard that allows you to plug in a processor or change it to power your computer.
- Intel processors
Intel offers sockets 1200, 1151, 1150, 2011, 2011-3 for its Pentium, Celeron, Xeon, Intel Core processors. Check out Intel's Skylake-based Intel processors with Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost technology in Intel Socket 1151. At Intel, Haswell socket 1150 and Haswell-E socket 2011-3 processors will suffice for all purposes.
- AMD processors
AMD offers AM4, AM3+, FM2+, FM2, AM1 sockets for its Athlon, Sempron, FX, A10, A6, A8 CPUs. At AMD, find the AMD FX 6300 or FX 8350 processors for socket AM3+ with AMD Bulldozer APU and Turbo Core technology. Are you looking for a server processor? Choose a 6-core Intel XEON processor clocked at 3.5 GHz.
